Blogs for Shane are due in 1 week
Dear 8th graders,
Let me introduce you to this book I hold in my hand. The book is called Shane.

"Shane, this is everyone."

"Everyone, this is Shane."

Now, some of you already know Shane. Mathini and Christine, for example, are good friends with Shane, as they have already posted 4 or 5 times about Shane. Mathini and Christine should be commended for their good efforts in getting to know Shane. Nice job, girls.

Sadly, many of you do not know Shane or, if you do know Shane, you seem to have nothing to say about him, judging from your blogs. Why not get to know Shane? Is there a problem with Shane? How about you get to know Shane, you do some reading, you do some blogging. It will be good. Jacque and Calvin, for example, have not yet been introduced to Shane and are still hanging out with Tom. Tom is old news. Jacque and Calvin should have been done with Tom a month ago. Perhaps Jacque and Calvin will be done with Tom very soon, so they can then be introduced to Shane. If not, Jacque and Calvin (among others) may never get the opportunity to know Shane.

Get to know Shane. Read all about him, write all about him.
