Book Talk
Remember, we're going to meet to discuss The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman on Tuesday, May 17. Please make sure you've read through page 125 (the beginning of The Plantation). While you're reading, think about the things you've read and what you would like to talk about.

Also, the final essay will be due on June 7th. It will be similar to the first essay you wrote, except this essay will cover the last 3 books you've read.

Essay guidelines:
> Must be at least 500 words
> Must relate the books you've read to what you have learned in history class about that time period.
> The three books you can take from for this essay are Shane, Call of the Wild, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman.
> Using the format of a 5-paragraph essay would be a good way to go about this task (with each book one of the supporting paragraphs).
> Hint: If you feel like you've forgotten the earlier books you read, you can go to each other's blogs and look under Archives for past posts on those books to remember some of the things that happened in them.
> Essays should be thoughtful and interesting, grammatically correct, spell-checked, etc.
